Larkman Nurseries is a family-owned wholesale propagation nursery located in the beautiful Yarra Valley. We are currently seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Office All-Rounder / Office Administrator to join our team for an immediate start.

 

This is a varied, hands-on role where initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential.

 

About the Role

 

You will support the daily administration of our wholesale nursery operations, including handling customer enquiries via phone and email, data entry, and general office duties. We are looking for someone who can think ahead, take initiative, and help keep the office running smoothly.

 

This position is available for an immediate start, and we are ideally seeking someone who can commence as soon as possible.

 

Key Responsibilities

• General office administration and data entry
• Managing emails and phone communication in a professional manner
• Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
• Assisting with basic bookkeeping tasks as required
• Assisting with event coordination for our three annual festivals
• Supporting the management of social media pages
• General support across the business when required

 

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Fluent, well-spoken English with strong written communication skills
• Confident and competent using computers, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative
• Able to multitask and work independently
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Willingness to assist with varied tasks across the business when needed, including order packing and general nursery work such as watering plants
• Previous experience in office administration, customer service, or a similar role
• Must have own vehicle (no public transport available to our location)

 

Advantageous but Not Essential

• Experience with bookkeeping software such as MYOB or similar highly regarded
• Interest in gardening or basic plant knowledge

We are a leading production nursery located in the Yarra Valley. We work hard and fast, and importantly, TOGETHER, to grow and dispatch a massive number of plants. Our products are relatively small so we don't do a lot of heavy lifting however you need to enjoy working outside and getting your hands dirty.

• You have a reasonable level of physical fitness. The roles do not involve a large amount of heavy lifting.

You have your own transport and live locally, close the Yarra Valley
