C. ‘Bowles Mauve’ is a medium sized shrub growing to about 1.0 m in height by 60cm in width.  It has an abundance of deep mauve flowers in late winter and early spring.  It will grow in full sun to part shade and is tolerant of moderate frosts.   Like most perennials it responds well to an annual prune and feed with Osmocote after flowering.

Chierianthus, or Wall Flowers as they are commonly known, are floriferus, easy to grow shrubs that are happy in a wide range of conditions.  They work well as a flowering hedge, shaped tub plant or as a free flowering specimen  plant.  There are a wide range of colors from deep mauve to light yellow.  Collect all the forms to create an exciting, colorful section to your garden.  Interplant with Felicias, Penstemons and  Salvias.
