TRADE SALES ONLY

It is May and winter is coming.

May is a funny month. It has Mother's Day, State and Federal Budgets and usually the IPPS conference. In a good year Mother's Day can be good for business, let's hope it is this year. The Budgets can be an issue as a lot of investment waits to see what will happen. This year Swan and Gillard have done some interesting things in their desire for a surplus. The change with the education rebate could be good for us. There are a lot of families that will receive $800 to $2500 as a lump some next month. Last time this happened was Rudd's boost in December 2010 which gave plants sales a boost. As usual we will be at the IPPS conference which is in Toowoomba. I am sure it will be a great weekend. Still time to book at www.ipps.org.au

There has been a definite shift to the more flowery plants. Some the old garden favorites are now back in fashion. Plants like Agapanthus, Dietes, Hydrangea and Kniphofia are being actively sort out. We are building up our range of Hydrangea and have several nice forms available this month. We also have three attractive Kniphofias - Red Hot Pokers.
